In addition, you need a knowledge of traffic generation. That traffic generation can be through ads, writing articles, social media, pay per click advertising, and many other methods.

And then, you need a simple understanding of sales and marketing. Most people are under the assumption sales and marketing are one in the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. Sales and marketing are two separate and distinct functions. Marketing is the process of creating a connection with, and educating the prospect. In other words, making the prospect feel confident and comfortable in making the purchase. Then, and only then, can a sale take place, which is the exchange of money for the product.

Which brings us to the final skill ? product creation. If a business has no product, it has no sales. If a business has no sales, it is out of business. Most products created and sold online are digital products. However, tangible products can also be marketed and sold online as well.

This may all be quite intimidating to a new online marketer.

However, one method of online marketing requires no online marketing skills, apart from how to drive traffic. This method is known in the industry as affiliate marketing, and many very successful online marketers begin their careers as affiliate marketers. In affiliate marketing, you are simply selling someone else?s product. You then receive a commission for each sale.

No matter if you?re brand new to online marketing, or you?ve been struggling to make money online for years, affiliate marketing is a very simple method you can plug into and start making money online very quickly.
