UFC president Dana White loves Twitter because of how he can communicate directly with fans and reach more than a million of his followers within seconds. But he found the downside of the popular social networking site during UFC 132 on Saturday night after he was included in tweets by superstar Justin Bieber.
Bieber attended the blockbuster card with his father, and he tweeted that he was "chillin' with White," and later that he scored the fights with White. According to the New York Post, Bieber's more than 10 million followers took notice, and their many, many replies and retweets crashed White's BlackBerry. That's why he was relatively quiet on Twitter for a fight night.
Bieber's father, who has been at UFC fights in the past, attended the fights with his son, but this was the first time Justin was Octagon-side. Like many MMA fans, he disagreed with the judges on the winner of the Matt Wiman-Dennis Siver bout.
