"America's Got Talent" tops nightly ratings (Reuters)

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) ? "America's Got Talent" grabbed the night's top ratings for NBC on Wednesday, while Fox won the evening overall with "So You Think You Can Dance," according to preliminary numbers.

"Talent" at 9 p.m. tied its summer low with a 2.7 rating/8 share in the adults 18-49 demographic and 10.3 million total viewers. It was preceded at 8 p.m. by "Minute to Win it," which was down 15 percent versus its last original broadcast on July 13 with a 1.1/4 in the demographic and 4.7 million total viewers. "Love in the Wild" closed the night for the network at 10 p.m., enjoying a 7 percent uptick with a 1.8/5 and 5.1 million total viewers.

Fox won the overall night in the demographic, thanks to "So You Think You Can Dance," which aired from 8-10 p.m., garnering a 2.0/6 and 5.9 million total viewers, or a 5 percent increase in total viewership over last week.

ABC ran repeats, apart from "Primetime Nightline: Beyond Belief," which received a 1.0/3 in the demographic and 3.4 million total viewers.

CBS' "Big Brother" at 8 p.m. was the second-highest rated show of the night despite a 12 percent dip from last week, with a 2.3/8 and 6.6 million total viewers. Otherwise CBS aired repeats.
