Jake Chessum for PARADE
By Courtney Hazlett
The romantic awkwardness Daniel Radcliffe displayed as Harry Potter wasn't much of a stretch for the actor, apparently.?Radcliffe tells Parade magazine that although he's now happily in love, dating was far from his strong suit.

"I hated dating because I?m crap at it! With Rosie (Coker, Radcliffe's girlfriend), I didn?t know what was appropriate, like on which date you?re supposed to try and kiss her," he told the magazine. "At the end of the second date I pulled a move out of the Bela Lugosi 'Book of Woo' -- I went to kiss Rosie and at the last minute lost my nerve and ended up kissing her neck, which is such a weirdly intimate place to kiss somebody on a second date. Afterward, I texted her, saying, 'I?m sorry, what I just did probably seems very odd to you.' Fortunately, she just found it really funny, so she kept coming back."
Radcliffe has most recently been starring on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," and his first non-Potter feature film "The Woman in Black" hits theaters next month.
Despite any perceived pressure to knock things out of the park with this new film, Radcliffe has a good attitude about his success and knows that it will someday diminish. "I have accepted that (success won't last)," Radcliffe said. "In a way it?s a great relief that I will never, ever do a film as successful as the Harry Potter series. But neither will anybody else. Or it will take them a long time."
The full piece appears in Sunday's Parade magazine. In the meantime, you can check out this slideshow of Radcliffe through the years; outtakes from the interview; and Radcliffe's thoughts on fatherhood.
